How did you come across romance books?

I'm not sure if some of you remember the name of your first romance book bc I sure don't, but how and when were you introduced to it?

When I graduated high school about 8 years ago I went to Massachusetts for the summer to stay with my aunt. At that time she just purchased her first home so the previous owner left a room full of Harlequin Romance books in the basement. There were boxes and boxes of it, that's when I came across romance.

My first book was given to me by my mom. It was Julie Garwood's The Wedding...., but I never read it until about a year later , after I read her other book, Gentle Warrior (Which was my first romance book, lol.) . I was in my mid-teens then....Nice topic btw!

I was 18 and someone had left it on a work table for the next person. It was Johanna Linsay's Angel and for the longest time you couldn't give me enough old west romances to read. She used to be my all time favorite until I got older.
